The Pecker Robotic Torch Cleaning Unit is a specialized solution developed by Pecker, a company renowned for manufacturing welding torches and spare parts. This unit automatically removes spatter and debris that accumulate inside the torch during welding, ensuring that the shielding gas effectively protects the weld pool. As a result, torch performance is optimized, enabling continuous and efficient production processes.
Designed to operate in synchronization with welding robots, the Pecker Torch Cleaning Unit initiates automatic nozzle cleaning after a predetermined welding length or number of parts, eliminating the need for operator intervention. The cleaning cycle consists of three stages: wire cutting, cleaning, and protective liquid spraying.
In the first stage, any buildup at the wire tip is cut off, facilitating a smooth arc start. Next, a metal reamer rotates inside the nozzle to remove spatter deposits. Finally, a protective liquid is sprayed onto the nozzle to minimize further spatter adhesion. This comprehensive process ensures enhanced torch longevity and consistent welding quality.
